Yume Soda Records

Yume Soda, officially Yume Soda Records, is my personal record label. It launched to coincide with the release of my single, "Nightfall." Its name is meant to invoke the image of "refreshing chiptune music that one can drink to." I plan to release originals and arrangements through Yume Soda. Please check it out here or by clicking the logo.

So what is this "You may sow duh"?

I literally just said what it is. Yume Soda is my own record label... well, "record label" is putting it nicely. More or less, it's a Bandcamp page that redirects most of my original work as well as possible arrangements, so that it looks "fancy." Think of it like a paper note with some writing on it in front of a door to my room. It was inspired by scythe's label, POPiN RECORDS, which you can check out here. While it is a "record label," I can only support myself as I do not have the monetary means to pay out other artists, which is why I only plan on using it personally/privately.

Question for later?

Answer for later.

Doesn't Bandcamp have a feature where you can set up an account for a record label? Why not just do that?

Doing that costs money. It's $20 USD/month for up to 15 artists and $50 USD/month for unlimited artists, and those prices get jacked up in CAD. I don't wanna spend money every month for something that's just gonna collect dust for a good chunk of time. Plus, I think my setup is funnier.

Okay, but why "Yume" (and why "Soda")?

"Yume" or is the Japanese word for "dream." It was one of the first words I learned, and I think it sounded cool. I chose "soda" because I like them and when I think of something that's refreshing, I picture myself opening a cool can of Coke on a summer day. As stated above, the name is meant to invoke the image of "refreshing chiptune music to drink to," which is also the label's slogan. The two words also have the same syllables as well as the same consonant-vowel pattern. Cool, I know.

What do you plan on putting here?

All of my original works. Chiptunes and Moonbeams and Dreamer Boy! are now available on the page, and both of their information has been updated to show "℗ 2019-2020 Millennium Hero / ℗ 202X Yume Soda."

The way I plan on formatting the page is as follows:

- EPs and albums sit at the top row.

- Singles (usually those not attached to any EP/album) sit in the middle.

- Other/miscellaneous/"exclusive" stuff will sit at the bottom row.

Otherwise, all of my involved work such as collab projects will be linked on my personal Bandcamp page and featured on the Discography page.

The Bandcamp page looks dumb/funny/goofy.

Graphic design is not my strong suit, I'm sorry. I'll see if I can fix it later.

Can I join Yume Soda?

No.
